Thank you for an amazing 2019-2020 school year! Flexibility has been the name of the game, and I want to thank ALL of our students and families for being so flexible through our hurdles this year. The last three months have been a struggle with not getting to hug, nurture, support, and teach our students in person, and we all recognize the struggle for our students and the extra work being put in by our families. I speak for our whole staff when I say that we truly miss being at DCIS at Fairmont with your students every day.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a HUGE congratulations to our class of 2020! While the year did not end as we had hoped or expected, our 5th graders have shown an extreme amount of flexibility, grace, and kindness as they have completed their years at DCIS at Fairmont. I wish them all the best, and hope they will come back to DCIS at Fairmont to visit us and update us on the amazing things they are doing in middle school. Read the full letter.
