Estimada comunidad de DCIS Fairmont,
Es un gran orgullo el escribir mi carta inaugural como el próximo director de DCIS at Fairmont. Durante todo el transcurso de las entrevistas, el ser parte de esta comunidad se ha sentido muy bien por muchas razones. La misión, visión, diversidad y su perspectiva pedagógica comprometida al bilingüismo, pensamiento global y aprendizaje socio emocional es lo que me motivó muchísimo para formar parte de esta comunidad. He sido el subdirector en la Escuela Valdez por los últimos seis años y me siento comprometido con mi nueva etapa de servir en las escuelas y ahora formar parte de la comunidad de DCIS Fairmont!
Al asumir mi rol en DCIS en Fairmont, llego con una visión de construir sobre la sólida base establecida por aquellos que vinieron antes que yo. Quiero extender mi más sincero agradecimiento a la Directora Alex Wenzel por su liderazgo ejemplar y sus invaluables contribuciones a nuestra comunidad en años anteriores. Mirando hacia adelante, estoy comprometido a colaborar estratégicamente con todas las partes interesadas, aprovechando la sabiduría de nuestras experiencias colectivas, y aprendiendo y creciendo juntos, asegurando que cada decisión tomada sirva a los mejores intereses de nuestros estudiantes. Juntos, emprenderemos este viaje de crecimiento, innovación y empoderamiento, mientras nos esforzamos por nutrir una escuela inclusiva con altas expectativas para todos los niños, donde cada estudiante sienta que pertenece.
Durante los próximos meses, planeo visitar la escuela y comenzar a conocer a los estudiantes, familias y al personal. Esto implica dedicar unas horas por semana a visitar la escuela en días diferentes, enfocándome en tareas específicas durante esos momentos y fortaleciendo mis conexiones con nuestra comunidad escolar.
Para concluir, quiero expresar mi gratitud a cada uno de ustedes por la cálida bienvenida que he recibido. Espero con entusiasmo la oportunidad de conectarme con todos nuestros estudiantes y familias en un nivel más personal, ya que es a través de estas relaciones que cultivamos los fuertes lazos que definen nuestra comunidad.
Espero con ansias trabajar juntos para nutrir y fortalecer el tejido de esta extraordinaria escuela, asegurando que el espíritu de unidad, creatividad y excelencia de DCIS Fairmont continúe.

Dear DCIS Fairmont Community,
It’s a tremendous privilege to write my inaugural letter as the incoming principal of DCIS at Fairmont. All along the hiring process, joining this community has felt the right choice for many reasons. The school’s mission, vision, diversity, and its unique educational approach committed to dual language, global thinking, and social emotional learning strongly inspired me to become part of this community. I’ve been the assistant principal at Valdez Elementary for the past six years, and I felt compelled for my next chapter of service in schools to be at DCIS Fairmont!
As I step into my role at DCIS at Fairmont, I arrive with a vision of building upon the strong foundation laid by those who came before me. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Principal Alex Wenzel for her exemplary leadership and invaluable contributions to our community in previous years. Moving forward, I am committed to collaborating strategically with all stakeholders, drawing upon the wisdom of our collective experiences, and learning and growing together, while ensuring that every decision made serves the best interests of our students. Together, we will embark on this journey of growth, innovation, and empowerment, as we strive to nourish an inclusive school with high expectations for all children, where every student feels they belong.
Over the next few months, I look forward to visiting the school and starting to meet students, families, and staff. This involves dedicating a few hours per week to visiting the school on varying days, focusing on specific tasks during those times and growing my connections with our school community.
In closing, I extend my gratitude to each and every one of you for the warm welcome I have received. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with all of our students and families on a more personal level, as it is through these relationships that we cultivate the strong bonds that define our community.
Looking forward to working together to nurture and strengthen the fabric of this extraordinary school, ensuring that the DCIS Fairmont spirit of unity, creativity, and excellence continues.
