| This week at DCIS at Fairmont we had two amazing events! Mr. Warring and our 3rd-5th graders put on another amazing World Music Festival, and the entire school contributed to turning Ms. V’s art room into our very own Meow Wolf Exhibit! Huge shoutout to Mr. Warring and Ms. V for leading these amazing events. We also had some of our very own students receive art awards, pictured above. Also be aware we just have a few short weeks of school left, with LOTS of exciting events. Keep reading the weekly to be in the know. | Field Day Reminders!/ ¡Recordatorios del día de campo! | FIeld Day is around the corner! Students and families get READY! We have shifted a few stations and are looking forward to a day full of FUN and COMMUNITY! Here’s the schedule: Thursday May 23rd 9:00-10:05 ECE (1/2 & FULL) on the ECE Playground/Rock Friday May 24th 9:00-10:45 Kinder and 1st Grade on the Field Friday May 24th 1:00-2:40 2nd Grade through 5th Grade on the Field REMINDERS: Students will need closed toe shoes for field day. NO FLIP FLOPS or Sandals that are open toed. There are a few water stations but they DO NOT need a swimsuit. If younger students want to bring a dry change of clothes they can. If students choose to wear a swimsuit all day they MUST have a DCIS shirt on over their suit. Please remember to send a water bottle with your student, sunscreen and a hat if possible. There will be a station where students can purchase a snow cone for our PE fundraiser. See the flyer below for details. If you are interested in sponsoring a student in your class to have a treat, please send an extra $5 for a student and mark the envelope as EXTRA for their teacher to distribute. If you want to come and cheer on your student, please do! Times are above. We’d love some help with stations in the afternoon if possible. Please reach out to Ms. Brooke if you are able to run a station from 1:00-2:40 Friday the 24th. brooke_reves@dpsk12.net We will have plenty of big kid helpers for ECE the 23rd and the morning of the 24th. Let’s make it a day to remember! | ¡El Día de Campo está a la vuelta de la esquina! ¡Los estudiantes y las familias se PREPARAN! ¡Hemos cambiado algunas estaciones y esperamos un día lleno de DIVERSIÓN y COMUNIDAD! Aquí está el horario: Jueves 23 de mayo 9:00-10:05 ECE (½ dia y completo) en el parque de ECE Viernes 24 de mayo 9:00-10:45 kinder y 1o en en el campo Viernes 24 de mayo 1:00-2:40 2o-5o grado en el campo RECORDATORIOS: Los estudiantes necesitarán zapatos cerrados para el día de campo. LOS ESTUDIANTES DEBEN EVITAR FLIP FLOPS o sandalias con la punta abierta. Hay algunas estaciones de agua pero NO necesitan traje de baño. Si los estudiantes más jóvenes quieren traer un cambio de ropa seca, pueden hacerlo. Si los estudiantes eligen usar traje de baño todo el día, DEBEN tener una camisa de DCIS encima del traje.
