| This week at DCIS at Fairmont we had an AMAZING field day! Huge shoutout to Ms. Brooke, who always works so hard in creating a safe, inclusive, and FUN day for everyone. Also be aware that this is the LAST family weekly of the year. After the 7th, the front office staff will not respond to email for the summer. After the 12th, Ms. Zimmerman will respond periodically, but not frequently, through the summer. The front office staff, Ms. Zimmerman, and our new principal Mr. Sanchez, will all return on July 31st, 2024. Thanks for your support throughout the 23-24 school year! | Inclusive Playground Groundbreaking!/ Parque infantil inclusivo ¡Innovador! | For the past three year, we have had a Design for Change group working specifically on planning for, designing, and advocating for an inclusive playground at DCIS at Fairmont. This summer, this project will become a reality! Join us on Wednesday for our groundbreaking ceremony. Speeches, snacks, and fun all promised! | Getting Ready for the Next School Year!/ ¡Preparándose para el próximo año escolar! | School Calendar: Here is our school calendar for the 24-25 school year. School Schedule:We are happy to say that not too much is changing for our school for next school year! We will have the same start and end times (8:05am-3:05pm), the same breakfast time (7:45am-8:05am). ECE will now have the same hours as K-5th – 8:05-3:05. Who is your child’s teacher for next year?! Unfortunately we won’t know this until August but when it is available you will see it in Parent Portal! Online Registration: Registration for the 2024-25 school year must be completed online. | MEDICATION PICK UP/ RECOGER MEDICAMENTOS | All medications and medical equipment must be picked up from the school health office at the end of the school year. Please make a plan with your school nurse or health office staff for pickup on the last day of school. Medications cannot go home with your student. Medications will be disposed of if not picked up by the end of the school day on 6/5. Please visit LINK here for more details.
