Summary/Introduction:
This week at DCIS at Fairmont, we FINISHED CMAS testing! All student tests are done, and once again we want to express how proud of our 3rd-5th graders we are. We are excited to continue to see their hard work! Our 4th graders also got to go on their overnight! We explored the Denver Zoo’s “Glowing Wild” exhibit, and then spent the night in our very own gym. We had a blast! Also be aware there are MANY events coming up in the next few weeks. It will be lots of fun, so please join us when you can. This week we have Dia del Nino and International Festival. Thanks for your support!

Esta semana en DCIS en Fairmont ¡TERMINAMOS las pruebas CMAS! Ya terminaron todas las pruebas de los estudiantes, y una vez más queremos expresar lo orgullosos que estamos de nuestros alumnos de 3.º a 5.º grado. ¡Nos emociona seguir viendo su arduo trabajo! ¡Nuestros alumnos de 4.º grado también tuvieron su estancia nocturna! Exploramos la exhibición “Glowing Wild” del Zoológico de Denver y luego pasamos la noche en nuestro propio gimnasio. ¡Nos divertimos muchísimo! También tengan en cuenta que habrá MUCHOS eventos en las próximas semanas. Será muy divertido, así que únanse a nosotros cuando puedan. Esta semana tenemos el Día del Niño y el Festival Internacional. ¡Gracias por su apoyo!

| Children’s Day CelebrationApril 30th Dia del Nino Celebration, 30 de Abril | Students will have the opportunity to celebrate Children’s Day inside our building from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. We will have two rotations: one in the gym featuring educational activities and another in the auditorium for a dance celebration. Additionally, our families are welcome to attend our celebration after school from 3:05-4:00 pm. This event will take place outside on the field, where we will have jumping castles and other fun activities for students. | Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de celebrar el Día del Niño dentro de nuestro edificio de 2:00 a 3:00 PM. Tendremos dos estaciones: una en el gimnasio con actividades educativas y otra en el auditorio para una celebración con baile. Join us this Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM for a vibrant celebration of cultures from around the world! Be sure to check in at the front office before heading out to enjoy the event. Each class has created a country display for you to explore, and we’ll also have incredible performances happening throughout the event. Interested in volunteering? We’d love your support! | Immersive Art Exhibit Exposición de arte inmersivo | Hi families! Mark your calendars — on May 8th at 6:30 PM we debut our Immersive Art Exhibit! This year, our students would like to invite you to the “City of Ichi,” where a mysterious sickness has made all adults disappear… Can you help them find the cure? You will see multiple mediums of artwork featured from grades K-5 at this exhibit. If you have a student in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, please also join us at 5:30 for the World Music Festival, happening right before the Immersive Art Exhibit! | Communication from PTA Comunicado de PTA (Asociación de Padres y Maestros) | Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week will be May 5-9. Sign up to bring a dish for the lunch on May 8th here, or send a card or other token of appreciation on May 6th. The PTA will continue to host a meet and greet on the third thursday of the month, at 3:05, on the playground, with a language exchange.
