Ariana Chenlo-Padilla

A little about me… my family and I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina from Argentina when I was 9 years old. Yes, I am a huge Messi fan! I attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) where I received my degree in elementary education. In NC, I taught 5th grade for 4 years and was a Gifted and Talented/Differentiation Coach for 2 years. This will be my 9th year teaching.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, collecting sneakers, watching sports, and playing with my dog Ozzie. I also enjoy spending time with my baby niece and nephew who live in Washington D.C. One interesting fact about me is that I’ve lived in 3 different countries!

¡Hola! ¡Mi nombre es Ariana Chenlo y estoy muy emocionada de unirme a la comunidad DCIS Fairmont!

Un poco sobre mí… mi familia y yo nos mudamos a Raleigh, Carolina del Norte desde Argentina cuando tenía 9 años. ¡Sí, soy una gran fanática de Messi! Asistí a la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill (¡Vamos Heels!), donde obtuve mi título en educación primaria. En Carolina del Norte, enseñé en quinto grado durante 4 años y fui entrenadora de diferenciación/dotados y talentosos durante 2 años. Este será mi noveno año enseñando.

Cuando no estoy enseñando, disfruto hacer senderismo, viajar, leer, coleccionar zapato deportivo, ver deportes y jugar con mi perro Ozzie. También disfruto pasar tiempo con mis sobrinos y sobrinas que viven en Washington D.C. ¡Un dato interesante sobre mí es que he vivido en 3 países diferentes!
