Hello my name is Ashley and I was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico.
There, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Interamerican University of
Puerto Rico. After moving to Colorado in 2016, I studied my master’s degree in Early Childhood
Special Education Specialist from the University of Colorado. This will be my 2nd year at DCIS
at Fairmont and it is the best! I started here as a parent and I love it. I have 3 children ages 7, 2
and 12 months. I adore them and they are always my top priority, therefore I understand how
important it is for parents to feel their children are safe in the classroom and with their teachers.
In our classroom, we believe that learning is an everyday activity and we learn at our own pace.
Inclusion, creativity and social emotional skills are really important to create that environment in
our classroom, that children will thrive their best self in. Spanish is such a beautiful language
and I pride myself in teaching children to learn the beauty in it!
In my free time, I love going to the mountains, traveling, going to parks with my
children,spending time with my cat Leon,going to the beach ( I grew up 5 minutes away from it),
playing video games, watching movies, reading, and going to rock concerts/basketball games
with my husband.
