Liceth was born and raised in Colombia, South America. She has been a teacher for nine years with experience mostly in elementary education and dual language classrooms. Liceth lived in eastern North Carolina for the past five years and obtained a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Greensboro College. Liceth is passionate about learning and developing independent learners in culturally responsive classrooms. She believes all students can succeed when they feel safe, valued and loved in a learning environment. Liceth enjoys watching soccer games (Vamos Colombia!!), cycling, painting and spending time with family and friends. Liceth is very excited about being part of the DCIS community.
