Hello DCIS Families!
My name is Marlene DeFranco and I am new to DCIS at Fairmont working as an Intervention teacher for second and fourth grade. I have been an educator in Denver for the last 12 years and have taught each elementary grade with a focus in math. I love to help students realize the power and potential that they have and encourage them to own and take risks in their learning.
I am originally from Ohio but moved to Denver in 2011 to pursue a career in education. I have a loving little family that consists of my partner Phillip, our son Salvador, and our adorable pitbull Bella. I love to see live music, travel, camp, tie-dye, needle-felt, create stained glass art, and collect crystals.
I’m so happy to join the community at DCIS at Fairmont and know this will be a fantastic year for our students.
